STRATEGY FINALISED FOR SECURITY OF
POLIO TEAMS &, HEALTH WORKERS

A comprehensive security strategy has been chalked out with a view to ensure protection to polio teams and workers across the country. The meeting with the representatives of Bill Gates Foundation and the World  Health Organization (WHO) was held on Friday here in Lahore. It was said that Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan were the three countries of the world where polio cased had been reported more. It is also demanded security for these teams in these countries. It was assured the delegation that instructions had already been passed to all the field officers, as well as those at check posts, to remain in touch with polio teams of their respective areas. For the protection of mothers bringing their children for vaccination, police women would also remain on duty during the activity. The police were on high alert to meet the challenges of terrorism and for the purpose, surveillance was being made more vigilant at all entrances and exit point of the country.

EDUCATION CAN END TERRORISM

ONLY EDUCATION WILL END TERRORISM
FOR VITAL ECONOMIC GROWTH IN PAKISTAN.

Pakistan needs to curb terrorism and promote education for its economic development. It is said by British Politicians in Pakistan by visiting to Government College University Lahore  yesterday.

Terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. Terrorists are not serving it or Pakistan; rather their acts hurt the image of our religion and the country. It is also said by him that Pakistan had a quality of human resource, and the government of Pakistan here needed to create an economic ecosystem, in which this resource could be utilized and brain drain from Pakistan could be stopped.

TALIBAN SEEK SHELTER IN AFGHANISTAN

AFGHANISTAN MUST NOT PROVIDE SHELTER TO FLEEING TALIBAN.

It is hoped that Afghanistan, as per international understanding and bilateral understanding would not allow any terrorists fleeing from tribal areas to be taken refuge on its territory.

According to the foreign office, official, the military action against terrorists is in progress on this side and Pakistan expects the Afghan government and those managing security in Afghanistan to fulfill their responsibility in this regard. Pakistan has assured all its neighbours that it has adopted the policy that its soil should not be used against them and their soil should not be used against Pakistan.

Pakistan and Afghanistan reiterated their commitment at Ankara, that they would not allow their soils to be used against national interests of each other. About terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan, we have raised our concern with the countries concerned and hope they would take it seriously. Pakistan has repeatedly emphasized the need for better border management.

Another side, about the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project, the Iran has not been able to meet its obligations with regard to provision of credit line to Pakistan for the completion of this project due to international sanctions.

Any company or consortium too has not evinced interest in getting involved in the project due to sanctions. It is hoped that the process is still under way between Iran and International powers to resolve the issue through negotiations and then Pakistan can move ahead on the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.

Pakistan intends to supply arms to Syrian rebels. But this peculation was rejected. Pakistan sells arms to states and not entities and that too strictly in accordance with the principles and purposes of the UN Charter, under the recognition of the right of states to protect their security reaffirmation of rights of states to self-defence and observing relevant national laws and regulations on export of conventional arms.

Pakistan is persistently and strongly opposed to regime change from outside through any means. Pakistan respects territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria and believes in the policy of respect for human rights but stopping of bloodshed their and welcomes Syrian accession to Chemical Weapons Convention.

YouTube Open in Pakistan

US COURT ORDER GOOGLE TO OWNS YOUTUBE
AND TO REMOVE ANTI-ISLAM  FILM FROM THE SITE.

The video-sharing website named YouTube had been blocked in Pakistan since September 2012 over its failure to take down the innocence of Muslims movie that sparked furious protests around the world. But now A US appeals court on Wednesday order Google, which owns YouTube, to remove the anti-Islam film after a law suit brought by an actress who says she was tricked into appearing in it. Pakistani technology think-tank Bytes for all said that with the removal of the crude movie, regarded as highly blasphemous by many Muslims the government of Pakistan had no reason to maintain the ban.

Pakistanis think that now the government of Pakistan has been left with no excuse to continue blocking access to YouTube, but the ban on YouTube has got more to do with the government’s desires and efforts to impose censorship, content filtering and moral policing and we are fighting against them in court through a constitutional petition. There was no immediate response from our government.

The American made “Innocence of Muslims”, which depicted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), triggered protest across the Pakistan that left more than 20 people dead. Free speech campaigners in Pakistan have complained of creeping censorship in the name of protecting religion or preventing obscenity. In November 2011, the telecommunications authority tried to ban nearly 1700 obscene, words from text message, which included innocuous terms such as “Lotion”, athlete’s foot and idiot in 2010 Pakistan shut down Facebook for nearly two weeks over alleged blasphemy. But it continues to restrict hundreds of online links.

MAULANA & MUFTIES IN PAKISTAN

VISION OF MAULANA & MUFTIES IN PAKISTAN

Our beloved country in 1947 , our nation has been confused about the role of religion in the affairs of the state. This confusion is mainly because of religious parties coming into politics and taking a hard, hawkish stand. Ironically many religious scholars were against Jinnah and the Pakistan movement. Most of the basic principles of Islam like equality, justice and others were not the main focus of the so-called religious scholars; rather they emphasized the jihad factor, without educating the people about the fact that jihad has a boundary rules and regulations.

The vision of Unites States about Afghanistan gave a chance to many of t he Maulanas and Muftis to come to the frontline and play with the religious sentiments of the people, provoking them to take up arms and fight a jihad in Afghanistan. The torchbearers of Islam  used the loudspeakers in the mosques to hypnotize the masses and tell them that their religious duty is to leave their homes and wage a war against the US forces in Afghanistan.

Young boys and girls studying in the madrassas were very vulnerable to these religious scholars who actually manipulated them and used them for the glory of Islam. One of these religious scholars is Maulana Abdul Aziz, a very famous name in Islamabad. He was the head of a mosque in Islamabad. In 2006 and 2007 the maulana actually took physical steps with the help of his young religious force and violated the law of the state by raiding various neighborhoods beating police personnel and trying to implement Islam (peace) through violent means.

Last month this maulana was nominated the Taliban’s committee member by his like-minded friends in the Taliban side. In view of this, there is no difference between the maulana and the Taliban since both of them want to implement sharia through the use of force. But has  peace ever been implemented or can it ever be implemented through the use of force?

Can we survive in the international area by breaking relations with the US or the west and by having a rigid and violent stance towards them? In this regards, the grand mufti from Egypt has given  a fatwa that Muslims living in –non Muslims countries can participate in the business of alcohol and that women and men have equal right in Islam. The women who are working in offices and should they be allowed to become doctors and lawyers?

Maulana with due respect this nation is very passionate about religion and people do follow him.

SEVERE ACCIDENT IN INDIAN NAVY

TWO INDIAN SAILORS MISSING, SOME INJURED IN INDIA NAVY ACCIDENT

Two sailors were missing and another seven were injured after smoke was detected aboard a submarine off Mumbai according to the report in the latest accident to hit the Indian force.

the seven sailors suffered smoke inhalation and were airlifted from the submarine for treatment. The submarine was on a routine training sortie off Mumbai’s coast when smoke was detected. Measures were taken to contain it. All the sailors are currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of a team of doctors but another two crew have not yet been found on the board the submarine which was now returning to port in Mumbai.

The incident comes after 18 naval crew were killed in August last year when the fully-armed Russian-built exploded in flames and sank in a military shipyard in Mumbai.

The disaster was thought to be the Indian Navy’s worst since the sinking of a frigate by a Pakistani submarine during a war with its neighbour in 1971.

The seven injured sailors fell unconscious after a leak in the submarine’s battery compartment during the training exercise near Mumbai harbor.

Last month another submarine armed and with a full crew rang aground while returning to Mumbai harbor. But there is No loss of life on damage fortunately.

The Indian navy has 14 submarines, but only between seven and nine are operational at any one time because of regular repair and refitting.

Russia is still the biggest military supplier to India, but relations have been strained by major delays and cost overruns with a refurbished aircraft carrier.

HIGH RISK OF CONTAMINATED WATER

THERE IS HIGH RISK FOR THE PEOPLE OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE BECAUSE OF CONTAMINATED WATER

People in Pakistan are at high risk of gastroenteritis, cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, hepatitis A and B, typhoid, acute respiratory infection as well as Blue Baby Syndrome, as safe drinking water is available  to only 15% people in the urban and 18% in rural areas.

The quality of drinking water supply is poor, with bacterial contamination, arsenic, fluoride and nitrate being the factors of major concern. The vast majority of the population does not have access to safe drinking water due to which incidence of water borne disease is  increasing rapidly.

High population growth rate, urbanization, industrialization and new environmental constraints are aggravating the problem.

It has been estimated that water, sanitation and hygiene related disease cost Pakistan’s economy about Rs. 112 billion per year in terms of health costs and lost earning.

Situation is even worse for the rural areas of the country where 88 percent of the population lack access to safe drinking water.

While the filtration plants installed in the capital are supplying highly unsafe water contaminated mainly with microbial contamination.

US CAMPAIGN AGAINST HAQANI NETWORK

US INTENSIFIES CAMPAIGN AGAINST HAQANI NETWORK

The United States has intensified its drive against the Taliban linked Haqani network in an attempt to deal a lasting blow to the militants in Afghanistan before foreign combat forces depart this years.

The effort is taking  on added urgency as the clock ticks down on a NATO combat mission in Afghanistan asset to end in December, whether Pakistan will take action against a group. The Obama administration has created a special u nit based in Kabul to coordinate efforts against the militant group, according to the US officials with the matter.

It was not immediately clear whether the intensified focus on the Haqanis has led to increased strikes on the group by the US military or the CIA which operates drones over Pakistan’s tribal areas. It remains to be seen this late in the NATO combat mission how much damages the United States can inflict on the Haqani Network, which has proven resilient and uses Pakistan’s tribal areas along the Afghan border, including the North Waziristan region, as a sanctuary.

It was announced from the White House  on Tuesday and ordered by the US President to the Pentagon to prepare for possible complete withdrawal of troops following Afghan president’s refusal to sin g a bilateral security pact. The Haqani network, which professes obedience to Taliban leader Mullah Omar is believed to have been  involved in some of the Afghan war.

NATO PLAN PULLOUT TROOPS

NATO PLAN FOR ALL AFGHAN OPTION INCLUDING PULLOUT

NATO must plan for all options, including a complete withdrawal from Afghanistan, but prefers an agreement with Kabul on a continued troop presence, according to the head of the military alliance.

But if there is no US-Afghan agreement, there can be no NATO – Afghan deal and if there is no agreement there will be no NATO troops in Afghanistan after 2014.

The deal would lay down the legal basis for continued US and NATO troops presence in the form of a training mission post 2014.

It is expected to number up to 12000 troops, mostly American and is seen as an important guarantee of continued US and NATO support during a difficult transition period.

In 2011, Washington withdraw all its forces from Iraq when it could not secure an agreement with Baghadad and there are fears a similar outcome in Afghanistan could leave the way clear for the Taliban to return to power.

Several Afghan presidential candidates have indicated they would sign and the deal has also been endorsed by a council of tribal elders. On the other hand, it is said that Washington was not certain a future government would do the deal.

THE NUCLEAR PLAN OF SAUDIA ARABIA

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

SAUDI ARABIA’S NUCLEAR RESTRAINT

Saudi Crown Prince recently has just concluded an official by visiting to Pakistan and after visiting some of defence experts are of the view that strong defence experts are of the view that strong military ties between both the countries now have a new view against the threat of a nuclear Iran.

The tales of the Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s nuclear deal have been circulating in the international media after the inexplicable according to the BBC representatives, the Saudis could obtain atomic bombs at will from Pakistan. Western analysis are now inclined to discuss regional security issues as the foremost motivators for Saudi Arabia to procure nuclear weapons, and Pakistan is most often cited as the country primed to export these nukes to Riyadh. As usual, the allegations of a Riyadh-Islamabad nuclear arrangement are fantastic ideas with no proof. In November 2013 Pakistan rejected a misleading that alleged nuclear cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. But Saudi Arabia also rejected the allegation.

Theoretically, if Iran joints the nuclear club, Saudi Arabia would perhaps be inspired to explore some form of nuclear deterrence in reaction but the expectation that Riyadh will acquire nuclear weapons swiftly-either by developing or obtaining them with the illegal assistance of Pakistan – is probably incorrect. Considering Riyadh’s contemporary security environment, it will be tremendously challenging for the Saudis to develop nuclear capability domestically or through purchasing nuclear bombs from countries such as Pakistan, since both countries would face substantial political and economic backlash after such trade.

If it is considered the argument that security apprehension is a leading factor for Riyadh’s quest for nuclear weapons then neither Saudi Official statements nor any Saudi actions endorse that this factor is currently convincing Saudi Arabia to seek a nuclear deterrent or that such has previously encouraged Saudi Arabia to develop nuclear weapons. After Israel allegedly developed nuclear weapons in the late 1960 for example the Kingdom did not rush to build the bomb.

If Saudis will want to proliferate then the United States – Saudi partnership will come under further stress, perhaps to an irrevocable degree. Not only by getting a nuclear arsenal will Riyadh violate the Non-Proliferation Treaty, it will also breach a memorandum of understanding inked with Washington in 2008, promising US assistance with civil nuclear power on condition that Riyadh would not pursue sensitive nuclear technologies.

Saudis ‘s objective to uphold a robust association with Washington prevents it from any desire to develop nuclear weapons. Therefore neither could Pakistan endure international criticism nor could Saudi Arabia bear the cost of such a nuclear trade.

Pakistan respects global non-proliferation norms despite its emergent disparity and discriminatory trends. Pakistan made a great effort in supporting the global non-proliferation regime, rules and initiatives. Learning lessons from Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s independent proliferation network, the government of Pakistan has taken extraordinary export control measures since the early 2000, which are now amply recognized by the international community. The ideal that Pakistan would be submissive to this nuclear trade simply to honour cooperation with Saudi Arabia is no less implausible than Saddam Hussain who former president Iraq arming al Qaeda with nuclear weapons.

The establishment relations of Pakistan between Iran and Saudi Arabia are deterring it from taking sides.  There is no Iran-centric strategic rationale for Pakistan leaders to transfer nuclear weapons to the Kingdom. Therefore, Pakistan will always avoid such collaboration which will initiate nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia do not have any advantage in nuclear copoperation. Precisely possession of nuclear weapons could be disadvantageous because it will attract international attention and engender suffocating sanctions. If Iran builds the bomb, it will aggravate Israeli insecurity and prompt Saudi Arabia to ask for a nuclear umbrella from the US. Regardless of the regional security environment of the Middle East and Pak-Saudi historical connections the House of Saud is eventually likely to turn to Washington once again if Iran acquires the bomb.

PAK –IRAN GAS PIPELINE NOT POSSIBLE

Tuesday, 25 February 2014

PAK –IRAN GAS PIPELINE IS NOT POSSIBLE
DUE TO US CURTAIL

The works on a pipeline to import gas from Iran cannot proceed because of sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union on Tehran.

For the Iran side billion dollars project is almost complete, but Pakistan has run into  repeated problems paying for the 780 kilometer section to be built on its side of the border.

Iran has the second largest gas reserves in the world but has  been strangled by a Western embargo that has seen its crude exports halved in the past year. In this regards, the US had earlier warned that the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline line project would risk triggering sanctions aimed at Iran. This project is affected by the sanctions imposed by the US.

Iran is committed to this gas agreement but until Pakistan has not officially relayed its stance we cannot react and make a decision.

The long delayed pipeline that would link the two neighbours was planned to ease Pakistan’s chronic gas shortages.

Iran currently produces around 600 million cubic meters of gas per day almost all of which is consumed domestically due to lack of exports. It is only foreign client is Turkey, which buys about 30 million cubic meters of gas per day.

Pakistan has severe gas crisis as natural as supply to homes and factories almost hit the dead end in winters and the consumers have to rely on the Liquid Petrobium Gas cylinders.

The compress natural gas used as fuel in cars to improve environment and reduce cost also shuts down for three days  a week during the tight supply months in the most populated areas of Pakistan.

Many of Pakistanis drivers have converted their cards to run on CNG depending on it as a cheaper alternative to petrol and diesel.

NUCLEAR TERRORISM

PREVENTING NUCLEAR TERRORISM

On October 11 2001 exactly a month after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre USA, and president GW Bush was informed by the CIA director about the presence of alQaeda-linked terrorists in New York city with a 10 kiloton nuclear bomb. Overwhelmed by paralyzing fear that terrorists could have smuggled another nuclear weapon into Washington DC as well president GW Bush ordered Vice President along with several hundred federal employees from almost a dozen government agencies to leave for some undisclosed location outside the capital where they could ensure the continuity of government in case of a nuclear explosion in Washington DC. Although after subsequent investigations, the CIA report turned out to be false this incident showed that even a false alarm signaling a nuclear attack could lead to a much higher probability of disaster. A nuclear attack in downtown Washington DC has the potential to kill hundreds of thousands of people immediately and wipe the White House the State Department and many other buildings off the face of the earth making the 9/11 attacks a historical footnote.

It is evident that the spectre of a terrorist-controlled nuclear weapon is a real theat and is global in scope. Given the potentially disastrous consequences, even a small possibility of terrorists obtaining and detonating a nuclear device justifies urgent action. The most urgent security threat to the world today is the possibility of the stealing of weapons or fissile materials by terrorists. After the collapse of the Soviet Union hundreds of confirmed cases of successful theft of nuclear materials were reported in Russia. There are also widespread apprehensions express by the international community that militants could steal Pakistan’s nuclear weapons or fissile material. Unfortunately some incidents of jihadi penetration of Pakistan’s armed forces have further fuelled this perception.

In 2001, the US discovered that Osama bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al Zawahiri were in contact with two retired Pakistani nuclear scientists for assistance in making a small nuclear device. Later in 2003 some junior Pakistani army and air force officers colluded with al Qaeda terrorists to attempt to assassinate and enforce sharia in Pakistan. Now with standing that the dangers about the security of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons might be highly exaggerated; some genuine concerns arising due to links between terrorists and government authorities must be immediately addressed.

Unlike the Cold War period when both the USA and the Soviet Union knew that a nuclear attack from either side would be met with a massive retaliatory strike, conventional deterrence does not work against the terrorist groups. It was claimed that most alarmingly the likelihood that nonstarter terrorists will get their hands on nuclear weaponry is increasing. In today’s war waged on world order by terrorists, nuclear weapons are the ultimate means of mass destruction unless urgent new actions are taken the US soon will be compelled to enter a new nuclear era that will be more precarious, psychologically disorienting and economically even more costly than was the Cold War.

Any effort by the international community to combat nuclear terrorism should be based on achieving three fundamental objectives: securing all vulnerable stockpiles of nuclear weapons and materials from such risks of falling into terrorist hands, preventing the spread of nuclear weapons to other countries and replacing all HEU in civilian research reactors worldwide with Low Enriched Uranium which cannot be used in making bombs. Countries where the dangers of terrorists stealing nuclear weapons are very high cannot afford to remain in a state of denial for too long. On the international front immediate steps are needed to be taken to institute a standardized noncompliance mechanism of enforce the Non Proliferation Treaty International Atomic Energy Agency framework.

Last but not least, enhancing nuclear attribution capabilities can make states with nuclear weapons more accountable. Every nuclear device has certain chemical, physical and isotopic properties that can help determinate the weapon’s age and clues about its origins, these properties also give some information about the type of nuclear reactors from which the plutonium came or suggest the nature of the enrichment process used to make the uranium. In this way, the process of nuclear attribution will enable the international community to hold countries more accountable for the security of their nuclear materials.

Mother Donated Liver to Save Child

Monday, 24 February 2014
MOTHER GAVE HER LIVER TO SAVE HER SON’s LIFE.

Maternal love gave unprecedented power to defeat death.

IT IS REAL ASTONISHING NEWS OF MOTHER & HER CHILD.

Oscar-winning American actress Jessica Lang said. "A woman is a mother and selfless. Then she is not the center of the universe's existence, but as her child get it reality".

That is a fact that a mother sacrifices her life to save her child. Demonstrate the wonders of a brave young Pakistani mother which was living in the United States, last week showed her great courage and passion & won the hearts rest of the world’ s mothers.

In New York a few years ago by living in America Zoaib & Rabia met together.  Both belong two young Pakistani families, but they have to work in the United States. The first meeting brought close to them and they began to like each other. Love Pleasant perform and they were tied in wedlock.

Rabia’s determination to see something Rabia husband and a mother to all the doctors and had a very difficult decision to admit. So various tests were also made to see that the baby's liver will accept her mother (Rabia) physical systems. At last doctors found that all tests results were positive.

However, the world in medicine, may transfer between mother and child liver surgery (Transplantation) is very complicated. The reason is that even the slightest negligence if the operation risk so that mother and son will die separately of one of them. But standing in front of the death of her maternal love for her bold eyes lay. The liver is a true mother could lay down her life for the children. Maa Tujhey Salaam! (Mother we offer you honors & respects).

PAK ARMY STRIKES KILL 38 TALIBAN

The attack came as Pakistani fighter jets launched air strikes on militant hideouts in the north-west killing at least 38 people, in the latest retaliation for attacks by the insurgents that have derailed peace talks. The province borders lawless tribal areas where alQaeda and Taliban led militants have sanctuaries.

The early morning strikes made on militant hideouts in the Tirah valley of the Khyber tribal district where third in the series of raids by the Pakistan Air Force on 20th Feb. It is confirmed that 38 terrorists including some important commanders were killed, during the jets strikes and also some hideouts were completely destroyed. Improvised explosive devices making factories and explosive material were also destroyed. On Saturday at least 10 militants were also killed when Pakistani gunship helicopters pounded Taliban hideouts in Thall village in Hangu district, near the tribal areas where militants linked to the Taliban and al Qaeda have strongholds.

Peace talks between government of Pakistan and Taliban stalled last week due to a recent surge in insurgent attacks and a claim by a Taliban faction that it had killed 23 kidnapped soldiers. The government of Pakistan mediators have set a Taliban ceasefire as a precondition for another round of talks. It is said that the Taliban still wish to engage in peace dialogue to solve the country’s problems. According them “we were ready to talk before and are ready now.”

The government of Pakistan wanted Taliban to accept the constitution of Pakistan through dialogue but this constitution did not have a single Islamic clause in it.

According to the statement from Taliban, the government decided to pull the plug on the peace talks with Taliban as the Pm of Pakistan and the military leadership decided that proceeding with the peace talks amid the bombings and slaughter of soldiers would be injustice to terror victims.

The Taliban leadership stated that it does not accept the constitution of Pakistan and claims that it has the backing of majority of Pakistan’s clerics.
