MUHAMMAD CHAUDHRY (CHIEF JUSTICE OF PAKISTAN) has been expired and he has

Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad
Chaudhry has been born on 12th December 1948 in Quetta, Pakistan. He has three
brothers who are well settled in foreign countries. But Iftikhar Muhammad is
the eldest son of his parents. He belong to a family of Faisalabad. His father
was Jan Muhammad who served in Police Department. He came to Quetta during the
division of British Indian in 1947. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry came to
Islamabad when he was elected Judge of Supreme court of Pakistan in 2000.
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry are married with a
female named Faiqa and he has five children in which two are sons and three are
daughters. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has got his bachelor’s degree in LLB from
Jamshore Sindh. He had joined bar association in 1974. He was selected the
Advocate of High Court in 1976 and then promoted as an Advocate of the Supreme
Court of Pakistan in 1985
In February 2000, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was
selected as Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan. He was the youngest Chief
Justice of Pakistan. He has served as a Chief Justice for the longest time than
any other chief justice in judicial history of Pakistan. In 2005 Iftikhar
Muhammad Chaudhry was appointed as Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Chaudhry was suspended by General Pervez Mushraf former President of Pakistan. Iftikhar
Muhammad Chaudhry was said to resign before the presence of Army Generals
including of intelligence. But Mr. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry refused to do so.
It was the dark history of Pakistan when a Chief Justice of Pakistan was
suspended badly. The main cause of his suspension was to be called the
complaints against her violation and judicial property, corruption and
misbehavior with senior lawyers. He was also accused of interfering in the
working of the executive branch. Chaudhry had decided to face the challenges of
Pervez Musharraf and his reference in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
After the suspension of Iftikhar Muhammad
Chaudhry there was the allegations against him under the circumstances. In 2007
during the month of May he had marched towards Lahore from Islamabad having a
lot of peoples including young & old men with his friend Atizaz Ahsan. When
they reached Lahore Bar Association after passing 24 hours journey on 5th
may 2007. They took dinner there which was hold in the honour of Iftikhar
Muhammad Chaudhry.
In 3rd of November 2007, There
was emergency which was declared by President Musharaf
during which all senior judges locked up in order take revenge them for giving
the judgment in the favour of Iftikhar
Muhammad Chaudhry. Not only Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry but his children were
also under house in arrest condition. During
these circumstances the daughter of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had to take her
A-Level examination at home which was held in the supervision of British
Council of Pakistan.
In March 16th during 2009 Iftikhar
Muhammad Chaudhry had announced for a long march to keep the judges. But the
government of Pakistan refused to do so. During long march all of roads and
transports had to block for the movement of lawyers as well know by the others
civil societies were attested too. This long march continued and was able to
break the blocked in Lahore to Islamabad
in night between 15 and 16 March during 2009. In this regards, Iftikhar
Muhammad Chaudhry was elected Chief Justice of Pakistan through an order fixed
upon by the PM of Pakistan.
